Leitner AG

For LEITNER, innovative engineering, comfort and design, and the way these elements work together, are among the most important aspects in the development of ropeways. The ride should be as comfortable and as safe as possible for every winter sports enthusiast, which of course includes children and their families. To meet these demands, LEITNER builds numerous comfort features and technical highlights into both its chairlifts and its gondola lifts.

So that everyone can use the gondola lifts, and safety is improved at the same time, there is no gap and no difference in height between the platform and the cabin. This makes boarding simple and safe for all passengers, which is an advantage in particular for mono-skiers, wheelchair users and families with a pushchair.

For maximum comfort and safety on the chairlifts, and especially for children, safety bars with a central footrest between the legs prevent passengers from slipping through on the way up the mountain and allow the skis to rest comfortably on both sides. The safety bars are also lowered slightly during boarding so that they are easier to reach, which in turn makes closing them when leaving the station easier. Inside the station, a lifting platform adds further comfort: it can be raised or lowered as required to help small people and children get on board.

All of these technical features help to make LEITNER ropeways as barrier-free and as comfortable as possible for every passenger, and above all for children who are just discovering their passion for winter sports.
