Vision

KIDS ON SKI set out to get children excited about winter sports early.

What could be finer than carving your first turns through fresh powder?

At KIDS ON SKI we love the mountains and want to get children excited about winter sports early on. But we know that getting started is often costly and complicated for families. So we set ourselves a clear goal — we put the next generation on skis by removing the biggest hurdles for parents.

Together with top ski regions we invite the youngest winter sports fans (3 to 5 years) to learn the ABC of skiing in enchanting nature and the purest mountain air.

Why do we do this for free?

It is an investment in the future. Together with committed local ski schools, mountain railways, rental shops, accommodations, the tourism organisations and sponsors of the winter sports industry, we finance this programme so that skiing remains a sport for everyone.

Instead of expensive marketing we put the money straight into the next generation.

Who is behind it

Alongside Mike Partel, numerous partners from the winter sports industry stand behind the initiative. Tourism boards, ski schools, ski rental shops and mountain railways work hand in hand. With the support of sponsors such as Leitner, Doppelmayr, TechnoAlpin, Skidata and Sunkid, snow sports are brought closer to the next generation.

What comes next

Ski regions from Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Germany take part in the extended pilot phase. The programme grows year by year — and with it the choice of ski regions in the Alps.

Places in the KIDS ON SKI programme are limited. Each ski region takes a maximum of 200 children so that personal supervision and high-quality ski equipment are guaranteed. Secure your place in good time — the sought-after places go quickly.
